JOHN NEWNAN
HONORED FOR HIS DECADES OF SERVICE

John Newnan is truly committed to the community!  John has been a law enforcement professional since 1978. He started his law enforcement career in Howard County in 1986 and worked his way up the ranks to Captain where he currently commands the Information and Technology Management Bureau and manages a $15.2 million dollar budget within three Divisions, the 911 Center, Records Section and Computer Operations Division. John's previous assignments have included the Patrol Division, Criminal Investigations Bureau, Automated Enforcement Division, Support Services Division and the Office of the Chief as Chief of Staff.

John's wide ranging experience and education as a law enforcement professional along with his long standing involvement in our local and state community make him the ideal person to lead the Howard County Sheriff's into the future. John intends to utilize his highly motivated leadership style, his enthusiasm and creative thinking, to propel the Howard County Sheriff's Office to the next level.

As you know, much goes into an election campaign.  Everyone knows that donations are essential to a successful campaign and so is the support of the community.  If you are interested in supporting John Newnan in his campaign for Sheriff of Howard County, please fill out the form on the left expressing your interest and you will be contacted.   Volunteers are needed to assist with fundraising events, assist with sign placement at the appropriate time and assist at the polls during the primary and general elections in 2014.
